Hi folks,

I’d originally planned to do one of these posts monthly, but you know how life goes, so instead we have a five month recap.

The most interesting thing for me, looking back, is seeing how much I’ve been walking this year. I have a walking path close to home, but I’d stopped using it for so long that I’d practically forgotten it existed. I remember thinking at one point that there were too many dogs about, so that’s probably why I stopped going.

I rediscovered it around March. I don’t know what reminded me of the path, but I started using it again and even discovered an entire section I didn’t know existed. I was just minding my business, meandering along, when I saw one of my neighbors coming from another direction. I thought, Where is she coming from? Then I was like, “Wait a minute, there’s more!”

There certainly was. The path wound on much farther than I’d realized. So that was exciting. As you can see, I’ve spent a good amount of time walking it over the past couple of months.

I’ve noticed some interesting things along the way. The path is practically a nature preserve. The other day, I saw a turtle getting some steps in. I’ve also watched various bird pairs expand their families with babies.

The dogs and their respective owners almost always look alike. I don’t know if they start to resemble each other over time, like a married couple, or if people subconsciously choose dogs that look like them. Either way, it’s kept me coming back.

I’ll keep you all posted. Hopefully monthly, but you know, maybe not 😜.

Have a good week!

Yes, I’ve heard about that phenomenon of dogs especially looking like their owner. I’m not much of a people watcher but every now and then I do take a quick look – just to see how true it is – hehe. Not sure if it applies to cats, I’d like to think so for the cats I’ve had – although I do like Sphynx cats and they can look terribly grumpy and wrinkled (please not me).

I love that you’re walking again down the forgotten path, may it bring great adventures and of course great health :)

Thank you! You should have seen my face when I saw my neighbor coming from that direction I wasn’t aware about. I’m not going to get too woo woo but I’m sure there’s also a lesson in there about staying curious and being open for being willing to go off the well known path.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by.
