Keep it moving

For reasons that are unclear I decided to challenge myself to do some type of deliberate “movement” every day in March. I made notes on the notes app that I copied below. Now don’t ask me why I picked a 31 day month versus say I don’ t know February. What can I say other than it was poor planning on my part.

Saw this carpet of fallen petals while walking.

I ended up doing quite a bit of walking during those 31 days. The older I get the more I prefer low impact exercises. I was never one to flip tires or jump up or down from boxes but even if I wanted to that ship has sailed for me 🤣.

This little cutie was hanging out on the side of the road.

There were definitely some days when I was dragging. Also, we sprung forward in March which was even more proof of my poor planning because I rolled over after the time changed with plans to get up and walk before work and I was so very confused as to why it was pitch black.

Spotted on one of my walks. I’m not sure what type of bird this is.

As far as challenges go it felt good to set a goal and accomplish it. I plan to keep up the walking and add some strength training to the mix. However, I will not be working out every single day. March madness is over for me too 😜.

Have a great weekend!

By the face alone I’d say its a Falcon, and I think a google search confirms it :). It looks like those times in my childhood looking over bird books may have come in handy after all lol. I believe in slow movement too although I always like the idea of long distance running vs the treadmill. I think I shall take you lead and organise my healthy living endeavour – thanks for the inspiration as always :)

Wow, you have so many talents! I thought it looked kind of noble and a wee bit annoyed. Thanks for the ID. I asked Google what a falcon sighting means. I’m going with this response- “In some traditions, falcons are linked to deities and are seen as messengers or protectors. Their appearance can be a sign of divine guidance and support, encouraging you to trust in your intuition and the path ahead.” I’ll keep you posted!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by.
