In this edition of WITB we have my Mulberry Bayswater. I’ve had my eye on the Bayswater for years. As far as bags go it’s very utilitarian. What can I say I’m that type of girl.  I loved the Bayswater at first sight because it reminded me of my favorite school bag from back in my primary school days. The one my mother labeled with my full government name using her trusty Dymo label maker (Google it youngsters). I don’t have any Mulberry retailers near me and I didn’t want to drop any coinage on a bag I didn’t see in person so I held off on getting it. I was in London this summer(travel post coming soon) when I popped in to Harrods. And wouldn’t you know it. Lo and behold. Behold and lo. Mulberry was having a sale. After going back and forth between the original version of the Bayswater and the newer version  and which color-  the original oak or something jazzy like oxblood I chose the newer version of the Bayswater in black. With the sale price and the Vat refund it was worth the wait. I’ve had the bag for several months now and I have no regrets. I think it’s sturdy and understated yet polished. Since the summer I’ve travelled with it to two countries and two cities and it looks as good as new.  I’m looking forward to having it for many years to come. I might even have my mother put my name on the inside for old times sake!

I love your bag. I cannot believe it’s big enough to hold your laptop. No sunglasses? that’s a first!

Thanks Nerline! I’ve been leaving the sunglasses by the door to pick up as I go out or in the car.

Aw sweet! Your in the bag posts are always humorous and refreshing – inspires me to do one of my own! Do you actually top up your nail polish to prevent chips or something? Nice shade by the way I’ve been looking at that brand for a while the owner seems nice 😊

Thank you! I keep the polish nearby just in case I get a chip and I need to paint the nail over. This brand wears like iron. I can usually go about five days with minimum tip wear.
