Last month after five draining months of scooping my abs and ironing my spine to the mat, intensive practice and training I became a certified Pilates instructor. For the the final test out, I had to sit for a 75 minute exam, teach a full 55 minute Pilates class consisting of 15-20 minutes mat exercises, 20 minutes of Reformer exercises, 10 minutes of specials needs and 5 minutes of endings. I then had to perform the mat, reformer, special needs and ending exercises in a 55 minute work out myself. So yeah… fun times.
When I started the process back in April I was super psyched. As I got towards the end of the training I was markedly less excited about the whole process. To be frank it got to the point where it was so all consuming that it wasn’t fun any more(If I had to hear about my C-Curve one more time….). I also missed my other workouts(yoga, running etc. ). I’m glad I sucked it up finished and passed. I’m also happy it’s over. I started to add some more variety to my workouts so I’m going to start posting them monthly again.
This is also the time of the year when I like to kick it up a notch when it comes to exercising, so I started collecting photos for an exercise motivation board. This is what I have so far.
That lovely lady in the bottom lower left with the ponytail is in her s.e.v.e.n.t.i.e.s. Yep I definitely have to up those weights :). What say you guys? Who’s with me?

Congrats!!! I need some motivation I can't stop eating ice cream. Lol! The 70 year old lady is my inspiration. Wow she looks good!! 🙂
You are so awesome with your "pilates-instructing" self! :o) I'd love to say I'm with you but my work schedule has me delinquent in working out… sad to say, I've been a bum. *hangs head in shame*
@Rhonda: Doesn't she! Put the ice cream down slowly and back away 🙂
@pVI: Thank you! Sorry to hear about your work schedule. I know how that can be.
