Narciso Rodriguez For Her – Musc Intense’ Eau de Parfum

I do believe this is my first post on perfume so I think a little scent background is in order.  I tend to like perfumes with any of the following notes: citrus, spices, woody, white flowers and musk.  I was in Sephora towards the end of last year when the associate in the perfume section recommended Narciso Rodriguez For her in the eau de parfum intense.

Narciso Rodriguez is a Cuban American designer whose designs are a regular on the red carpet and at the White House. (See here)  He reportedly combined his love of women, and an Egyptian musk oil he got as a gift for the inspiration behind the For Her collection. (See here)

The notes and description of For her according to Sephora:

Sensual and addictive, this fragrance radiates with the warmth of a contemporary musk. It evokes a sense of mystery and intrigue, drying down to a tempting essence of musk that lingers underneath beautiful floral notes of jasmine, orange blossom, and ylang-ylang.

Notes:
Musk, Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine and Orange Blossom.
Style:
Sensual. Floral. Musk.

I ended up taking home the smaller sized bottle of For Her you see in the pictures above that day from Sephora.  I am definitely in the less is more camp when it comes to perfume so I was very surprised when I realized I finished that bottle. I went to repurchase it, but couldn’t find that size anywhere. I eventually found the bigger bottle (1.6oz/$99) at Bloomingdale’s. To me, For Her has a your skin but better kind of smell with medium sillage.  When I’m wearing it I feel clean, grounded and relaxed. I’m too fickle to have just one signature scent but For Her has definitely earned its place as one of my faves.

What are you favorite perfume notes? Do you have a signature scent?

Those bottles are beautiful! I have the regular NR For Her and adore the clean musk scent, I've not tried the intense but it definitely looks and sounds intriguing. I like that the NR perfume range has many differing derivatives of his classic which have slight nuances. I knew that he created his perfume for the love of Women (shouldn't that alone sell the product) but I didn't know about the Egyptian musk oil basis. Thanks for the info.Like you, I'm too fickle to stick to one scent. I basically like a range of scents but I definitely like green notes (oak moss, vetiver), floral's (orange blossom, rose etc) and sweet musky things. I can't wait to see and hear more about your fragrance collection :)!

When I saw the title of the posts and looked at the pictures, I thought there was an error..lol. The bottles look like make-up bottles rather than perfume (in my opinion though). So, I think that's kind of neat that they're different and unique even from the packaging. I'm glad you enjoyed the scent. For me, I like floral notes a lot and I'm also hypnotized sometimes by lovely and unique bottles which I think is quite silly of me..lol

I agree the bottles are beautiful and I don't think appreciating good packaging is silly. Florals are all the rage now so you should have plenty of options when it comes to perfume. Thanks for stopping by!
