My TBR Pile

Hi folks,

I try to keep my TBR(to be read) pile of books in my home to a minimum. In the times before Covid I read mostly library books. If I enjoyed the book I checked out I’d buy it.  That way I didn’t have a bunch of meh books in my library. I also don’t like clutter so too many unread books hanging around gives me a headache. In the stack above the only book I haven’t started to read is Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere. I don’t usually read more than one book at once but I’m a moody reader. Lately my reading mood has been all over the place. I started The Mermaid of Black Conch and it was okay but I got the feeling that something bad was going to happen to the main character and I wasn’t in the mood for that so I put the book down. The Walker is a non-fiction book about the literary history of walkers. The Dark Forest is the second book in the Remembrance of Earth’s Past Trilogy. They are both interesting but they are not fast reads and I haven’t had the time to really get in to them. Hopefully I can get it together and finish at least one of them in the near future.

I like the idea of reading library books before buying them. These titles are new to me. I can be a moody reader too. And I don’t like reading two books at once.

It helps me have only books I really love in my collection.
