I’ve always liked the look of a satchel and a clutch on other women but because I carry around
a lot of crap, a lot of stuff in my bags I didn’t think those styles would work for me. Most of my handbags are hobos or totes in darker shades. This year I decided to change it up a bit and look for a lighter colored satchel.
This was my first Michael Kors bag. I liked the size it’s 12″H x 17 1/2″W x 6 1/2″D with a handle drop length of 5″. I also liked the vanilla coloring with the light tan and gold accents. I bought the bag in March, but I think it could be used year round. The problem I have with the bag is that it’s a light colored bag so although I got the leather treated I’m hesitant to use it regularly :(.
When I do wear it I’m on stray pen and grabby kid patrol which is not my style. I’m hard on my bags which is why I usually stick to darker colors. This bag comes in a luggage brown which I purchased then exchanged for this color despite the warnings from the salesperson that I would have to be extra careful not to stain it. I picked the size based on what I lug around daily. In hindsight I should have sized down because for my lifestyle this is not an every day bag.
I got this Coach hobo while on vacation here. I thought it was the cutest thing ever and it was on sale :). It’s in the same color family as the MK bag with the white and brown accents but with silver hardware. I like that I can tuck the straps in and wear it as a clutch or wear it as a shoulder bag. It’s 6 1/2″ H X 10″ W X 6″D with a handle drop length of 9″.
Overall I’m pleased with my purchases but they do say pretty things come in threes, so I’m keeping my eyes open :).
Have a great weekend!
