Vintage Black Glamour by Nichelle Gainer- Book Review

I put Vintage Black Glamour on my Christmas list last year and I was so very happy to find it under the tree for me on Christmas morning.  The author Nichelle Gainer did an incredible job of compiling the stories of these extremely glamorous women.  From the cover image of Eartha Kitt giving you old school #BBHMM to the very last page with a picture of the author’s aunt, I was inspired by the beautiful images.

The first editions like mine pictured above came with a silk cloth finish which made the book feel even more like the keepsake that it is.  You can find a copy in traditional hardcover here.  I’m tempted to get a back up, because if something happens to the one I have now there will be blood. This book is a must have for anyone interested in beauty, glamour and history.  Get it. Trust me you’ll love it. You’re welcome!

Love it! I'm definitely interested in all three especially those included who were/are lesser-known. The only current book equivalent I have is Essence Total Makeover. Thanks for making me aware of this books existence 🙂

Getting another one is probably a good idea. I could have never guessed that it is Cicely Tyson in that picture. She was even more gorgeous when she was younger.
