Hello. I hope you all are having a great holiday season. I’m hanging with my family and in between the eating, online shopping and binge watching of Penny Dreadful and The 100 I’m going through the pics I took during my last trip.

We went from Tokyo to Kyoto via the Shinkansen(Japanese bullet train) which got us there comfortably in a couple of hours.  I liked Kyoto a lot.  I spent a lot of time walking around going to the different temples and enjoying the laid back pace.  I also had some really great meals while in Kyoto. I had an amazing vegan lunch at a restaurant that offered yoga classes, and the best soy doughnut and ice cream from a street vendor on the way back from the bamboo forest.

If you have any interest in Japan I would highly recommend a stay in Kyoto. My only suggestion would be to brush up on your bike riding skills.  Let’s just say I learned the hard way that you can forget ☻
