The fact that I have a blue mani is I assure you a coincidence. |
According to their website Kiehl’s has been around since 1851. I like that their products are usually reasonably priced and available in multiple locations. I have combination skin prone to cystic acne that tends to be oily when I’m having a flare up. Whenever I feel a breakout coming on I turn to Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Facial Skin Care. If I catch it early enough the wash and the toner help minimize the period of time the breakout lasts.
The wash contains 1.5% salicylic acid which I suspect is what does the trick. The toner lists castor oil, witch hazel and aloe as some of the ingredients. The spot treatment also has 1.5% salicylic acid.
Once my skin has calmed down I usually discontinue using the toner as it can be a bit drying for me with prolonged use. The Blue Herbal line is described as non drying but I think it would be better suited for those with oily or at least combination skin.
If you’ve tried anything from Kiehl’s what are some of your faves?

Your manicurist is not a manicurist at all – he/she is a magician! Loving the blue :)I don't really have much spot problems now (use to) – although I have blemishes. I've tried only 2 things from Khiel's their deodorant and oil free face lotion. I really liked the deodorant but the oil free lotion I think was overpriced and left me greasy in a few hrs. I think La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo is similar to this – at first I thought it didn't work/ thought I had a bad reaction to it – but now when I have cyst spots if I put this on – it reduces swelling etc. + its not harsh. Thanks for the post I'll look out for Kiehl items 🙂
LOL I will give her your regards. I didn't know they had deodorant. Their blue line seems to be a fan favorite. I hope the no buy is going well. Stay strong!
I have not tried any product from Khiel yet but it does sound like a good product for breakouts.Great Review.
Hi Beauty. Ive had good luck with it.
Im in love with those blue nails. It has been a while since I have tried anything from Kiehls, what I do remember about the brand is that they are very generous with samples at their counters.http://ahhhsoneo.com
Thank you Neo. I haven't really seen the same regarding the samples though. Maybe I need to try a new counter 🙂
