About two weeks ago I stopped by Ann Taylor after work to check out their 50% off clearance price selections.Talbots was also taking an additional percentage off of their sale items, so I stuck my head in there too. The pickings were somewhat slim, but I didn’t leave empty handed :).
I liked the print on this 100% silk shirt and the easy, drapey front. I thought it would be perfect for those days when you only have time to grab something and run out the door but still need to look somewhat put together. I found the fit to be true to size. I bought this one.
You can see a pattern with the prints. I’m a sucker for them. The gathering in the front also caught my eye. I passed on this one because it was somewhat snug in the armholes.
I am n.o.t a fan of animal prints in anything other than small accessories, so there was no way this shirt was going home with me. I only tried it on because the salesperson handed it to me. She said it was the best deal in the store. It was a good price,
but even with 50% off of, I just couldn’t do it.
Like most people I like a good white t-shirt. My heart however belongs to grey tees. I liked the length and found the neckline flattering on this one. I bought the one I’m wearing above and the same tee in black.
This shirt was from Talbots. I loved the color and the detailing along the neckline. The fit you can see from the pics above was a problem. In the last pic I’m trying to picture it taken in a couple inches. Since I don’t have a good tailor I decided to pass.
So I ended up with the first shirt, a grey and black tee and some workout clothes from the GAP which were also on sale. No home runs out of the bunch but enough hits to take me home with a smile.
Have a great weekend !
I really like the colors of that first blouse!
