In the US this weekend is the unofficial start of summer. That means it’s time to pull out my favorite summer scent, Estēe Lauder Bronze Goddess. I can get away with using Bronze Goddess in my neck of the woods for most of the year but there is something about it that just screams summer to me. I think it’s those coconut and jasmine notes.
From what I’ve read the bottle changes slightly every year. I liked the red in the perfume bottle for the 2016 version. You can see my review with last year’s bottle (here). This year’s bottle is a little plainer but with the same great light scent. I got a sample of the Bronze Goddess whipped body creme (here) with my purchase this year. I did not buy the full size but based on the sample I think the body creme would be a great option for those who like to layer their scents.
What’s your favorite summer scent?

Over here we have summer all year round so I don't really have a fave summer scent. But I'd love to try Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess. I have a current obsession for anything Anna Sui!
Hi Veronica! If you try Bronze Goddess let me know what you think. I've always noticed Anna Sui's perfume bottles but I don't think I've ever tested any of them.
This new Bronze Goddess sounds as amazing as the last one – I haven't seen it in the UK though? Hmm, I'd say Roberto Cavalli (I have a dupe) would be my idea of a great summer scent and Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse oil which I am pondering to get because it smells so gorgeous and there's a dangerous 3 for 2 promo at the moment 0_0 …
Interesting that you haven't seen it in the UK. It looks like is available online in the UK on the website Thefragranceshop.co.uk. I have been eyeing that Huile oil for years. Now that you've told me it smells great I might have to cave and try it!
Thanks yes I see now – I double checked and it maybe at Debenhams too so hopefully I can test it out. It also looks like this fragrance also has its own shimmer oil just like Nuxe 0_0. I'm still deciding whether or not to go ahead and get the Hulie (I've seen some alternatives) * the countdown begins *
