Diptyque made their city candles (Berlin, London, Tokyo, Shanghai, Miami and Beverly Hills) available for purchase on their website for four days back in April. As a travel and candle lover you can imagine how my little heart swooned💞when I got the notice. The 6.50z/$72 candles are normally only sold in their respective cities.
After reviewing the fragrance notes I chose the Miami, Shanghai, Beverly Hills, and Londres(London) candles. In the past four months I’ve burned through all of them. All of the candles had good throw and burned evenly to the end. My favorite of the four was the Shanghai candle. It smelled like a really warm and fragrant cup of tea. My next favorite was the the Londres candle. Londres was also the most flowery which is not surprising considering London is known for its amazing gardens. The Miami and Beverly Hills candles had a very similar pleasing tropical scent. The emerald green background with the white lettering on the Miami candle was my favorite design. However, when I first saw it I thought it would have been cool if it was more of a nod towards traditional Miami Art Deco design. Think flamingo pink, peacock blue or canary yellow. You know something you would find in Blanche Deveraux’s from Golden Girls bedroom. And then I googled Blanche Deveraux’s bedroom and it all became clear. Try it and you’ll see what I mean.
Which design and fragrance note combo do you like the most?

I like all the designs, but the green does look very attractive. I am glad they did not disappoint, as they rarely do. Another wonderful post!

😊 Thank you Beauty!
My fav design is Miami like you said but, Shanghai sounds like a pretty neat scent. I like floral perfumes so London will probably be a one I’d like. That leaf is so pretty and perfect for the backdrop photos – cool skills and nice review 🙂

Thank you! Coincidentally Diptyque is launching the City Exclusives again this week. The Hong Kong and Paris candles seem interesting. I got the Monstera leaf from my local Whole Foods. They last a long time.
