It’s the most wonderful time of the year for candle fans. The Diptyque holiday candles have arrived. Diptyque usually crafts some type of holiday narrative for their three holiday candle offerings. This year their theme is cabinet of curiosities. It’s a little different than years past. There’s no cute shopkeeper falling asleep on Christmas Eve as fairies or magical creatures make candles. This year (which also happens to be their 60th anniversary) the brand said check our cupboards to find the perfect gift. As usual they did a lovely job with the packaging. I’m not a pine fan so I skipped it this year and picked up Flocon- Snowflake and Biscuit- Holiday pastry. The Biscuit candle is lovely and actually smells like biscuits. If you’re not into food scented candles Snowflake with its notes of mimosa, iris and white musk is for you. The gold lids on the holiday candles are new for this year and a nice touch. They also have a special edition five wick Ambre candle and a three wick Feu De Bois that I’m sure will be very popular with the collectors. The advent calendar for this year is also different from years past as it’s shaped like a house. I haven’t peeked but I’m sure there will be a pine candle as one of the little gifts for the 25 days. If I had to pick one item for someone casually interested in the brand I’d pick one of the gold tinned holiday candles.
Have a great week. Thanks for reading!
