I was in Brooklyn about two months ago and stopped by the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens (here). To know me is to understand that I love a good garden. The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens did not disappoint. The 52 acre garden was founded more than a century ago. The grounds are beautiful with a layout perfect for exploring. I think it would take at least a day to see the entire garden. I really liked all the spaces they carved out with benches where you could sit and read or just relax and take in the beauty of your surroundings. If you find yourself in Brooklyn I would add the Botanical Gardens to your list of things to see. Check the hours before going. The month I was there admission was free before 12pm on Friday.
I love cities with tons of communal green spaces. Where I live the parks are few and far between. The green spaces we do have eventually get bought out by developers who want to build more McMansions but that’s a topic for another day. For now I’ll just leave you with some lovely flowers to brighten up your week.
Thanks for stopping by!

I love flower pics/nature! I wish it loved me back but I'm still itching 2 months later from battling weeds in me back yard :(. All those flowers are gorgeous but that white one with the big 4 petals is so unique!I hope you are well 🙂 – Oh and I love the artsy watercolour pic at the end so cool !
Hey Mango Fudge! Wow, I have a picture on this blog from years ago where I was hiding my face behind some flowers after which I was itching like no tomorrow so I know what you are going through. If you are ever in Brooklyn please try to check out the gardens.
Oh no your face! – face rashes/itchiness is perhaps the worst. Cool yes I will do – the big apple is very tempting indeed – I'll defo check it out 😀 as I love flowers! Not sure if when you were in the UK you checked out Kew Gardens that has plenty of greenery, flowers and a great tea collaboration with Taylors Tea (Spearmint and Green Tea is the nicest!). Always like seeing your escapades.
I love parks and gardens too and am glad we have lots of them where I live. The Brooklyn Botanical garden looks beautiful from what I see. Great Pictures and lovely nail polish in that second to last Pic.
